Some more spookiness & a tiny finish

Hi all
Been a while, totally forgot about posting last weekend, darn facebook games! As a consequence not much stitching has been happening but I did manage a couple of small finishes and yesterday took advantage of the long weekend and got some finishing done on a few other pieces.

Here's my latest spooky finish, this was a fun piece to stitch. I started it and finished it the same day. Plan on doing the "finishing"on it today

Lizzie Kate - Eek! scissor fob Stitched as charted on 28ct hand-dyed lugana. Stitching completed September 20, 2010.
Next up is another little finish (which will also be "finished"later today)
Just Nan - Winter Violets Stitched as charted on 32ct opalescent lugana from silkweavers.
Stitching completed September 2010.
Here's the results of my finishing spree:Just Nan - Fraidy Frog pillow ornament, fabric in background is what's on the back.

Blue Ribbon Designs - Perched On A Pumpkin. Felt backed flat ornament

Hillside Samplings - Come In For A Bite - pillow finish
Plum Pudding Needleart 4 Bats & A Cat.
Biscornu finish with pumpkin bell embellishments. For some reason blogger keeps posting this pic sideways. I tried uploading it 3 times but each time was the same result, guess you'll have to turn your head on the side to see it properly :o)
Last but not least, here's Shepherds Bush - Scaredy Sheep Scissor Fob, finished as per kit instructions.
Well that's all for me for today, I'm currently stitching on Lizzie Kate's Hocus Pocus and hopefully it will be done soon. Also want to get some more finishing done as the finished box is getting a bit full! Christmas ornaments might have to be next on the list!
Thanks for looking and happy stitching!

Some finishes & some stash!

Hi all

Well I have a couple of finishes pics to share and some stash that I bought at the Stitches n Craft show yesterday! First up here's the finishesPrairie Schooler Snowman Ornament freebie card 2008 Stitched with DMC as charted.

Midnight Stitching Quaker Acorn 1&2 finished into an Acorn shape!

Stitched as charted with Dinky Dyes silk #151 Nabilla

Here's the stash I picked up yesterday. First up is a chart & some crescent colours & some Canadian hand dyed silk & silk ribbon

Next up are 3 boxes of fancy trims that I couldn't pass up! They were $20 for a box of 27 spools and as I couldn't choose just 1 colour I had to get the 3 boxes I loved the most! First up is the Plum box the pic makes some of them look pinker than they are, they are all mostly a really beauitful plum/purple colour.Next is the Pink box
Last is the Cream/Gold box And here's the final pic, this piece was a Round Robin which was finished years ago, I finally got around to making it up into a pillow for my step grand daughter who loves Disney Princesses. It was originally planned for my girls, but they are a bit beyond the Disney Princesses now.

Well that's all for me today, tonight Rachael (eldest daughter) & I are going to see Pink! in concert which should be great! We are expecting to be a bit on the deaf side tomorrow, lol!

Happy Stitching all

Another finish spree!

Hi all

Well I had another finishing spree last weekend. Here's the pics of what I achieved, some of these have been waiting a while!! Please excuse the quality of the pics, it's been raining here all week. Rain is great but not so good for good pics!

Teresa Wentzler - Futurecast pin keep
Brittercup Bunny pin keep
Elizabeth's Design pumpkin pin keep
The Trilogy Garden Spots pin keep
Shepherds Bush ornaments
Dragon Dreams ornaments
Needleplay Needleworks & Ursula Michaels ornaments
Lizzie Kate Peace, Love & a Cure pillow
Bent Creek Dance of the Bumblebee pillow
Lizzie Kate Fun in the Sun pillow
Drawn Thread Welcome Spot Sampler pillow

As you can see I got quite a few pieces done, amazing what you can get done when it's raining and the kids are occupied! I was trying out a new to me way of doing the pillows using the folded corners, this method is not quite what I was aiming for but have an idea of what to try next time.

Will try and get some updated wip pics happening tomorrow as I have another long weekend, got to love school holidays, gives me the perfect excuse for days off work!

Thanks to all for taking the time out of your busy days to look at my blog.

hugs
